The terms that apply when using The Lost Realm website, Minecraft server, Discord community, support systems, store, and related services.

Welcome to The Lost Realm.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules that apply when you use The Lost Realm website, Minecraft server, Discord community, support systems, account features, store-related services, and other services operated as part of The Lost Realm.

By using The Lost Realm, creating an account, joining the Minecraft server, using the website, making a purchase, or otherwise accessing our services, you agree to follow these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use The Lost Realm services.

1. About The Lost Realm

The Lost Realm is an independently operated Minecraft server and online gaming project.

The Lost Realm may provide services including:

  • Minecraft gameplay
  • Website accounts
  • Player profiles
  • Quests and progression
  • Friends and social features
  • Virtual items and cosmetics
  • Ranks
  • Pets
  • Website tools
  • Community features
  • Discord services
  • Customer support
  • AI-assisted support
  • Store and purchase-related services
  • Other features added in the future

The Lost Realm is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or officially endorsed by Mojang Studios or Microsoft.

Minecraft and related trademarks belong to their respective owners.

2. Who May Use The Lost Realm

The Lost Realm is intended to be available to players of all ages.

However, users must follow any laws that apply to them based on their age and location.

If the law where you live needs permission from a parent or legal guardian before:

  • creating an online account,
  • making a purchase,
  • sharing personal information,
  • joining online communities,
  • or using certain online services,

you must obtain that permission.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to review these Terms and our Privacy Policy with younger users.

3. Accounts

Some Lost Realm features may require a website account.

When creating or using an account, you agree to provide accurate information where required.

You are responsible for protecting your account.

You should never share:

  • your password,
  • authentication code,
  • sign-in code,
  • recovery code,
  • session information,
  • private account credentials,
  • or other security information.

The Lost Realm staff will never need your password in order to provide normal support.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless the activity occurred because of a security issue outside your reasonable control.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact:

as soon as possible.

4. Linked Accounts

The Lost Realm may allow you to connect third-party accounts, such as:

  • Google
  • Discord
  • Minecraft accounts
  • other supported services

When you link an account, The Lost Realm may store information necessary to maintain that connection, such as an account identifier, username, avatar, or Minecraft UUID.

You may be able to disconnect supported linked accounts through your Lost Realm account settings.

Third-party accounts remain subject to the rules and terms of the service that provides them.

5. Minecraft Server Rules

Players must follow the rules published by The Lost Realm.

These rules will be available using the following command:

/rules

Examples of prohibited behavior may include:

  • cheating,
  • using unauthorized exploits,
  • intentionally duplicating items or currency,
  • deliberately damaging server systems,
  • attempting to bypass restrictions,
  • abusing bugs for unfair advantages,
  • harassment,
  • threats,
  • scams,
  • impersonation,
  • disruptive behavior,
  • inappropriate content,
  • evading punishments,
  • attempting to compromise other players,
  • attempting to compromise staff or server systems.

If you discover a serious exploit or security problem, please report it rather than intentionally abusing it.

6. Fair Play

The Lost Realm is designed to provide a fair experience.

Players may not intentionally use software, exploits, automation, modified behavior, or other methods that provide an unfair advantage when those methods are prohibited by server rules.

The Lost Realm may investigate suspicious activity.

If necessary, staff may:

  • remove illegitimate items,
  • correct balances,
  • reverse exploit-related gains,
  • adjust progression,
  • temporarily restrict an account,
  • or apply moderation action.

These actions are used to protect the integrity of the game.

7. Moderation

The Lost Realm may moderate its Minecraft server, website, Discord community, and related services.

Depending on the situation, moderation actions may include:

  • warnings,
  • message deletion,
  • temporary restrictions,
  • timeouts,
  • mutes,
  • kicks,
  • temporary bans,
  • permanent bans,
  • removal of illegitimate items,
  • removal from community services,
  • account restrictions.

Moderation decisions may consider factors such as:

  • severity,
  • previous behavior,
  • intent,
  • evidence,
  • risk to players,
  • risk to the project,
  • repeated violations.

Where supported, players may be able to appeal certain moderation actions.

Abusing an appeal system or repeatedly submitting knowingly false reports may itself result in restrictions.

8. Discord Community

The official Lost Realm Discord is part of the wider Lost Realm community.

Users must follow:

  • The Lost Realm rules,
  • Discord’s own Terms of Service,
  • Discord’s Community Guidelines,
  • And any additional rules displayed within the server.

The Lost Realm may use Discord bots for features such as:

  • moderation,
  • support,
  • server information,
  • account linking,
  • roles,
  • announcements,
  • tickets,
  • community tools.

Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord’s own rules and services.

9. Purchases and the Store

The Lost Realm may offer optional purchases such as:

  • ranks,
  • cosmetics,
  • pets,
  • bundles,
  • virtual items,
  • supporter packages,
  • or other digital benefits.

Purchases may be processed through Tebex or another approved payment provider.

The payment provider may collect and process information necessary to complete the transaction.

The Lost Realm does not need or store your complete payment-card number in order to provide normal store services.

Purchases may also be subject to the terms and policies of Tebex or the payment provider used.

10. Virtual Items and Benefits

Virtual items and account benefits may include things such as:

  • virtual currency,
  • cosmetics,
  • pets,
  • ranks,
  • items,
  • titles,
  • unlocks,
  • progression benefits,
  • other digital content.

Virtual items are features of the Lost Realm service.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, they:

  • do not represent real-world money,
  • do not represent ownership in The Lost Realm,
  • cannot be exchanged for cash,
  • cannot be sold for real-world money through unauthorized methods,
  • may only be transferred where game systems explicitly allow it.

The Lost Realm may rebalance or modify virtual content when reasonably necessary for gameplay, security, technical compatibility, or fairness.

11. Refunds, Chargebacks, and Payment Issues

If you experience a problem with a purchase, contact support before attempting to resolve the matter through unauthorized means.

Some payment issues may need to be handled through Tebex or the payment provider.

Fraudulent purchases, knowingly false payment disputes, abuse of refund systems, or unauthorized chargebacks may result in account restrictions where permitted by applicable rules and law.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights that you may have under applicable consumer-protection laws.

12. Server Availability

The Lost Realm aims to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

The server or website may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • maintenance,
  • updates,
  • hardware failures,
  • network problems,
  • software errors,
  • security incidents,
  • DDoS attacks,
  • third-party outages,
  • emergency maintenance,
  • circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Features may also be temporarily disabled while problems are investigated.

13. Updates and Changes

The Lost Realm is an evolving project.

Game systems may change over time.

This may include changes to:

  • quests,
  • maps,
  • economy,
  • items,
  • progression,
  • classes,
  • mobs,
  • bosses,
  • dungeons,
  • prices,
  • ranks,
  • cosmetics,
  • commands,
  • website features,
  • account features.

Balance changes are a normal part of operating an online game.

Where reasonable, major changes may be announced through the website, Discord, or other official channels.

14. Player Data and Progress

The Lost Realm may store information required to operate the game, such as:

  • Minecraft UUID,
  • inventory,
  • currency,
  • quest progress,
  • friends,
  • settings,
  • playtime,
  • progression,
  • achievements,
  • virtual items,
  • last known game location,
  • account connections.

The Lost Realm takes reasonable steps to preserve player progression.

However, technical problems may occasionally require:

  • data restoration,
  • rollback,
  • correction,
  • recovery from backups,
  • removal of corrupted data,
  • correction of exploited data.

The Lost Realm will attempt to minimize unnecessary loss of legitimate player progress.

15. Website Account Deletion

Deleting a Lost Realm website account does not delete Minecraft server progression.

Website data and game-server data are stored in separate systems.

The Privacy Policy explains in greater detail:

  • what information may be stored,
  • how information is used,
  • how website data may be deleted,
  • and how Minecraft progression is treated.

16. AI Support

Emails sent to:

support@thelostrealm.org

may be processed by the Lost Realm AI Support Assistant.

The AI assistant may answer common questions using information approved by The Lost Realm.

The AI assistant is not capable access sensitive information such as:

  • passwords,
  • sign-in codes,
  • private authentication credentials,
  • full payment details,
  • private Tebex transaction records,
  • private payment-card information.

If the AI system cannot safely answer a question, the request may be escalated.

Users may also request human assistance by following the instructions provided by the support system.

AI-generated support responses may occasionally contain errors. Important account, security, payment, or moderation matters may require human review.

17. User Content

Users may be able to submit content such as:

  • messages,
  • suggestions,
  • bug reports,
  • screenshots,
  • support requests,
  • profile information,
  • uploaded files,
  • feedback,
  • other community content.

You remain responsible for content you submit.

You must not knowingly submit content that:

  • violates applicable law,
  • infringes another person’s rights,
  • contains malicious software,
  • attempts to compromise systems,
  • exposes another person’s private information,
  • contains prohibited or harmful material.

By submitting feedback or suggestions, you understand that The Lost Realm may use ideas or feedback to improve the project without creating an obligation to compensate you unless a separate agreement says otherwise.

18. Intellectual Property

The Lost Realm may contain original:

  • branding,
  • logos,
  • artwork,
  • website designs,
  • code,
  • plugins,
  • documentation,
  • lore,
  • quest writing,
  • game systems,
  • graphics,
  • videos,
  • maps,
  • other creative material.

These materials may be protected by copyright, trademark, contract, or other applicable rights.

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, impersonate, or commercially exploit Lost Realm materials without permission unless applicable law allows it.

Minecraft assets remain subject to the rights of Mojang Studios, Microsoft, and their respective licensors.

19. Security and Unauthorized Access

You may not attempt to:

  • hack Lost Realm systems,
  • access databases without authorization,
  • obtain staff credentials,
  • steal authentication tokens,
  • bypass access controls,
  • intentionally overload services,
  • conduct unauthorized DDoS activity,
  • distribute malware,
  • exploit website vulnerabilities,
  • access staff-only systems,
  • access another user’s account,
  • interfere with network infrastructure.

Good-faith security reports are welcome.

Do not intentionally exploit a vulnerability after discovering it.

20. Staff and Impersonation

Only authorized staff may represent themselves as Lost Realm staff.

Users may not impersonate:

  • the Owner,
  • developers,
  • moderators,
  • administrators,
  • support staff,
  • bots,
  • other official representatives.

Staff members may have access to limited information necessary to perform their duties.

Access is intended to be restricted according to role and responsibility.

21. Suspension or Termination

The Lost Realm may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary because of:

  • serious rule violations,
  • security risks,
  • fraud,
  • cheating,
  • abuse,
  • repeated misconduct,
  • attacks against the service,
  • legal obligations,
  • other serious violations of these Terms.

Where appropriate, users may be given warnings or an opportunity to appeal.

Severe conduct may result in immediate action.

22. Third-Party Services

The Lost Realm relies on third-party services to operate some features.

These may include providers such as:

  • Cloudflare,
  • Discord,
  • Google,
  • Tebex,
  • Resend,
  • hosting providers,
  • infrastructure providers,
  • other technical services.

Those companies operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

The Lost Realm is not responsible for outages, policy changes, or failures caused solely by third-party services outside our reasonable control.

23. Privacy

Use of The Lost Realm is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains:

  • information we collect,
  • why it is collected,
  • how it is used,
  • which service providers may process it,
  • how account deletion works,
  • how support information may be processed,
  • how users can contact us.

The Privacy Policy should be read together with these Terms.

24. Disclaimer

The Lost Realm is provided on an “as available” basis.

While we try to provide a stable and enjoyable service, we cannot guarantee that:

  • every feature will always work perfectly,
  • the service will always be available,
  • every bug will be immediately fixed,
  • no data loss will ever occur,
  • third-party services will always function correctly.

Nothing in this section is intended to exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded.

25. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Lost Realm and its operators are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising solely from the use or temporary unavailability of the service.

This does not exclude liability where applicable law does not allow such liability to be excluded or limited.

26. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated as The Lost Realm grows.

Changes may be necessary because of:

  • new features,
  • legal requirements,
  • security improvements,
  • technical changes,
  • third-party service changes,
  • business changes.

The Last Updated date at the top of this page will be changed when the Terms are updated.

For significant changes, The Lost Realm may provide additional notice through:

  • the website,
  • Discord,
  • email,
  • or other official channels.

Users may be required to accept an updated version of the Terms before continuing to use certain account features.

27. Severability

If one part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections should continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Acceptance

By creating an account, accessing the website, joining the Minecraft server, using community features, or otherwise using The Lost Realm, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
